So, why does Bill MacCormick get two pictures to himself, then? Well, because he's writing this guff and what he says goes.

OK, what more do you want to know?

Over a ten-year career in which he wracked up some reasonable critical acclaim and some far more impressive debts, Bill finished in the music business in 1980 with another Dulwich-linked band, Random Hold. Infamous for the extravagant size of their record advance from Polydor, the volume of recorded material (three-albums worth in twelve months) and their complete lack of commercial success, RH broke up after a nearly successful tour of the USA supporting Peter Gabriel. Obviously worried about the possibility of success, the boys of the band had a jolly good argument and went their separate ways... for all of about six weeks, after which Bill helped produce some demos for guitarist Dave Rhodes and managed, albeit briefly, Dave Ferguson's reincarnation of RH.

By now, though, Bill had seen enough of the music business and, instead, went off into another world full of charlatans, crooks and con-artists. He became a politician.

Silly sod.
