Using a combination of the Leslie-effect rotating speakers, an Echoplex tape echo unit and a custom-built pedal board, Phil developed the unique sound that, allied to his creative playing style, has made him one of the stand-out lead guitarists of the rock era. He also had a natty dress-style. Note the see-through 801 tee-shirt. A collector's item if ever there was one!
